Yes, all five BBQ rubs are gluten-free and made without wheat, barley or rye. We blend in a kitchen that handles other spices but not gluten-containing ingredients, so cross-contact risk is minimal. Full ingredient lists are on every product page.
No. The whole point of a rub is dry, fast and direct: coat the meat 20 to 40 minutes before grilling, give it a pat, and that's the prep done. If you have time, leave it covered in the fridge for an hour and the crust gets even better.

Yes, and you should. Cheeky Chipotle wakes up roasted aubergine. Grill Guru does fine on a portobello. Bold Butcher's gives halloumi a proper crust. None of the BBQ rubs are meat-only by design.
A sealed jar holds peak flavour for 24 months, and once opened we say use it within 12 months for best taste. Keep it dry, dark and not above the oven. Spices don't really go off, they just get sleepy.
A rub is a dry mix of spices and salt that you sprinkle straight onto meat to build a flavoured crust during cooking. A marinade is a wet mix of acid, oil and aromatics that the meat sits in to soak up flavour and tenderise. Rubs are faster and give you better bark on the grill. For most BBQ situations, a rub does the job in a fraction of the time.
